Walter Jackson is a Ngarrindjeri man that utilizes cultural knowledge as avenues to motivate and inspire other Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to participate in cultural activities. Walter was recently awarded with the Office for Young Indigenous Achiever Award for South Australia. Walter’s visual art is a reflection of his understanding and knowledge of his land.
LAUNCH OF KANGAROOISLAND COMMUNITY HEALTH REFERRAL SERVICE
Commencing 1st March 2008, residents of KangarooIsland will be able to access Community Health Services via a single point of entry referral service to help them better access health and home care services in the community.
On 28 & 29 November a two day workshop run by John Edwards, Bill Martin and Kate Perkins was held on Kangaroo Island with staff and community. A shared vision for the Health Service was created.
